10 Things we LOVE about Dell Hanks!

(aka Dad, Grandpa Hanks)

From Naomi:

1. You are always so peaceful and calm. You don't yell or even raise your voice. In fact, I don't know if I've ever even seen you get angry! No matter what is going on, when you are around, it takes my stress away.

2. You are not judgmental. I always feel like you think the best of me, and everyone else for that matter. Not only are you not judgmental, but you are very kind. You make me feel special and like you genuinely care about me.

3. I have never been your daughter-in-law, only your daughter. I know that you love me and are truly interested in my life and well being.

4. You have a fantastic sense of humor. My favorite thing about it is that you can rarely even get through a joke without laughing hysterically at yourself. By the time you get to the punchline, I've already been laughing for a few minutes while you were working through it!

5. You, like your father, are a quiet giver. Always willing to share, lend a helping hand, help a stranger out, as long as no one really knows about it or makes a fuss over you. You are an honest example of Christlike charity and I love and respect you for that. Thanks for being my second dad!

From Kevin:

6. You're the perfect example of quiet dignity.

7. Everyone knows you liked our cats more than all the rest of us put together... even though you acted otherwise.

8. He taught me how to use all the wood working tools he has, and was always patient when I used them to make his garage filthy.

9. Being such a good grandfather to our children. They think he's cooler than their own parents!

10. Saturday Breakfasts. Enough said.

Aww I love Dell too. I know he loves you two very much. I also love how he has always made me feel like part of the fam too.
